Panda Dan’s Lifestyle and Tech Love blog! New Media, Marketing too…

Mr T WoW ad? Worst PR ever…sorry old friend. What’s your real age?

Now it’s been a while and I do apologise, I have been renovating a new house so any free time I have seems to be dedicated towards it…

So please understand when there are absences. But I will keep everyone posted.

Tech Love

For all the gaming heads out there and all the Mr T fans. What better than to put the two together?  Here’s the link to both Mr T and William Shatner’s ads for World of Warcraft (WoW).  Enjoy!

Now this is both a painful and comical experience, a good friend who introduced  me into the interactive media field has felt the unfortunate wrath of bad PR. He does not appear in the clip mind you, but this is a classic example of PR gone wrong…very wrong. So when we think of making a company ‘trendy’ or ‘hip’ what’s the first thing that comes to mind? A freakin’ rap song that’s sung by our executive staff and CEO! I won’t hold it back any longer.

THE LINK!

Yes yes y’all we don’t stop…oh the horror.

Lifestyle

What’s your real age? I’m 23 but I’m apparently 15.8 years old . While I doubt the validity thereof I do admit I have a pretty healthy lifestyle apart from sleeping 4-5 hours a night.

Weirdest and freakiest and politically testing commercial from the land of Japan…why kid’s depression is connected to a child humping dog that advocates potato chips I have no idea.

Plus I am considering clearing this mess of a blogs template to something refreshing. If anyone knows any nice templates they would like me to use or just have a suggestion feel free to let fly so we can get a chatting about renovatin this here blog!

Oh and this happens everyday on my way to the office to some newb tourist

  • Noob guy gets caught by company ass sniffer

Enjoy the whole story with pics here.

Now if you hate ads within your social network that is Facebook,  here’s a way to block Beacon in FB.

Too many it seems internets is a way to fill in for our bf/gf…check these stats. Makes one ponder upon where does the fine line between online social interactions actually start to hinder the offline? But then again, if you’re having fun who’s to judge? But you know, we all love the Star Wars kid (clip that will make u guffaw) .

Has your gf beat your ass at the game you claim to be awesome at? Get ready to get royally owned by the lady gamers…Chicks dig games is a new site designed for the refined female gamer that likes to frag, shank and pwn your lazy ass at games.

Here’s an article that will at least give you a guideline of what brands to consider and bash when purchasing a LCD or plasma TV.

Zune? iPod, Google opens OpenSocial, Give yoself a ROFL!

 Hey guys,

Awfully sorry on the delay! I now have the connection I need to hook up a mean post!

Oh by the way, I just saw the movie Munich, an eye-opening story on the Israeli and Palestinian fighting based on the 1972 Munich massacre. If you haven’t seen it yet, feel free to check it out some time. 8.5/10

Hope we are all well, shall we begin?

Tech Love

So Microsoft’s answer to the iPod – the Zune has a new campaign, do you like it? Too bad I just bought a new 3rd gen iPod nano, now it took a little time to grow on me but I guess I’m slowly becoming a fanboy…damnit!

Google opens OpenSocial and provides Orkut support, are you social? To learn more about OpenSocial go here.

This is for the marketing minded, how much advertisers pay for the attention of NYC – a nice way to ballpark figures for campaigns. I hope you enjoyed as much as I did. It’s a video clip by the way (less than 2 minutes and worth it).

Here’s a great link for the Creative minds, 30+ links for Mind Mapping Tools!

Lifestyle

I had to post this hehe This is how to get laid in 1977 and your ass kicked in 2007. NICE as ice with tonic.

Best Bollywood clip translation EVAR! ooooooooooaaaaaaaaauuuueee Benny Lava (watch it and you’ll LOL)

Now I love my gaming so when in need of an energy boost or the extra kilo that will turn me into Gimli I turn to my list of top 23 snacks for gaming! Some are on the edge of pushing the edge of whether you are a fully fledged macho male – but if you like pedicures, manicures etc.  then read on past #13  Our friendly local sys admin and I decided #1-13 is just fine for the majority of us. 🙂

Scientists find the oldest living animal. Then kill it. The title made me ROFL OL.

What’s a ROFL without a pic?

Gmail enables IMAP support,Best TV links, Reach Your Dream, TechCrunch is my BFF?

Hullo and greetings all!

I wish you that we are all having a week of fruition~

Shall we begin? Here’s a random funny pic to get us started…think North Korea and Team America.

Here’s a random link…8 super heroes that are actually douche bags LOL I don’t think Ironman can ever be a douchebag though damnit! He’s way too awesome to be deemed so, anyone agree with me? Please agree. It’s Ironman. IRONMAN.

Tech Love

Gmail is enabling IMAP support,  What is IMAP you ask? TechCrunch explains it perfectly:

If you don’t know about IMAP, it allows you to manage your email account from different computers and clients without having to worry about replication issues. For example, if you delete an email message in Thunderbird, that message will no longer show up when you use a webmail interface. If you were to use POP – the primary alternative to IMAP – then you would have to manually delete the message from both places because a copy of each message would be downloaded to Thunderbird. Therefore, IMAP provides a much more synchronized solution whereas POP fails to realize that you want to deal with your email once for all points of access.

so feel free to email me with a question or opinion, suggest a humorous pic, clip and more!

Why not veg out with your PC or (for the luxurious) laptop by watching TV on it, now it’s not rocket science but I do prefer seeing my shows when I want to see them. So here’s a nice list of TV links for all! HUrrah! (Thanks Teddy)

If you is lonelies like I is and need a BFF (best friend forever), Techcrunch’s Crunchgear introduces BFF! The basic description is:

‘a sideblog that enables you, our potential and actual readers, to talk back, respond to posts, and generally try your hand at blogging so we can drink more Tab and watch daytime TV.’

Lifestyle

IMO (in my opinion) we should all have dreams/ goals/ visions that are true renditions of who and where we want to position ourselves in life. At the moment, I just want to learn, learn and learn about this industry and grow my passion for it so I can effectively become someone like the Muhammad Ali of Geek Marketing.

Well, (sorry for the side track) we should help our dream become reality, here’s a nice post on how we can make our dreams that one step closer.

Why peoples in the 18-35 demographics should save for the future. Phew glad I’m pretty frugal….If only eBay didn’t exist…

We can fit one more pic can’t we?

Here it is! Don’t mess with my homies y’all!

homie

Have a great week all!

I came upon a site that has presented me with a Digg for online marketers called Gooruze. Here’s the quick description but click on the link above to get the whole breakdown.

‘ is a new social network that’s pretty much a Digg for online marketers. So if you’re in the business of creating campaigns for online use, or would like to stay abreast of the latest trends in online marketing, Gooruze aims to separate the signal from the noise.’

For all those who want in and want friends to get started and populate,  this is my profile on Gooruze, so feel free to add me and we can together ramp up our fave marketing stories together muhahaha

For all the Zelda fans out there, the Phantom hourglass review is sayin its freakin sweet, read about it and I guess within a week’s time we may all be playing the same title! (oh you need a DS LITE lol) Hurray!

I’m playing Bully at the moment…rather fun.

MySpace and Skype announced Tuesday they are meshing social networking with Internet telephony, creating the largest voice-connected online community on Earth. I still prefer FaceBook….
